AfyaFix Participates in the 5th Annual National NGO Forum 2025
Dodoma, 12–13 August 2025 – AfyaFix Nutrition Health Organization was honored to participate in the 5th Annual National NGO Forum (ANGOF), a gathering designed to reflect on the contributions of Civil Society Organizations to Tanzania’s national development.
This year’s theme, “The Five-Year Review on the Contributions of NGOs to National Development 2020/21–2024/25: Achievements, Challenges, Opportunities, and Prospects,” provided an opportunity for collective reflection, knowledge sharing, and joint strategizing.
Strengthening NGO-Government Partnership
The forum highlighted the importance of transparency and partnership between government and non-governmental organizations in driving sustainable development. Discussions centered on coordination, resource mobilization, and how NGOs can amplify their impact across sectors, particularly in health, education, youth empowerment, and social inclusion.
A key milestone of this year’s Forum was the official launch of the NGO Basket Fund (NBF) on 13 August 2025. The Fund aims to strengthen financial sustainability and collaborative impact of NGOs, with Steering Committee members representing diverse sectors to ensure inclusivity and accountability.
